Building Tune-up (BT)

Since November 2024, Delmarva Power and Pepco have offered updated incentives for HVAC Tune-up projects:
  • $40/ton for units <3 tons
  • $160/unit for units 3–20 tons
  • $260/unit for >20–50 tons

As a reminder, applications for incentives amounting to $2,800 or less do not require project pre-approval. Applications exceeding this amount require a pre-approval letter prior to starting work. Please ensure that you document the service with before and after photos.

Business Instant Discounts

As a reminder, HVAC applications must be submitted via the Online Intake Tool (OIT). If you don't yet have access, contact marylandmidstream@icf.com. Midstream incentive applications do not require pre-approval and can be submitted within 60 days following the purchase. Every purchase is subject to a post-installation inspection.

Custom New Construction

Starting Jan. 1, 2025, all New Construction projects you submit will need to follow the ASHRAE 90.1.2019 energy code as the baseline for calculating energy savings.

Prescriptive

Delmarva Power and Pepco are offering a way to boost your sales for short-term projects through our special incentive bonus! Qualifying projects completed by 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, Dec. 18, 2024, will be eligible for an additional 20% incentive bonus. Projects may include:

• New projects submitted between Oct. 1, 2024, and Nov. 30, 2024.
• Projects that have already been submitted for pre-approval but have not received funding authorization. To receive the incentive bonus, submit the revised proposal inclusive of the 20% bonus along with the customer's signature.

To qualify for the additional 20% bonus incentive, projects must be finalized, and close-out documentation submitted to the program by Dec.18, 2024.

Please note that a project will not qualify for the incentive bonus if it:

• Receives instant pre-approval.
• Is canceled and then resubmitted between Sept. 23, 2024, and Dec. 18, 2024.

Project of the Quarter

Congratulations to EASI for receiving Project of the Quarter recognition for their recent work with the Wicomico County Department of Public Works.

This project, completed through Delmarva Power’s Energy Efficient Communities program, involved upgrading the County Courthouse HVAC system.

Pate Matthews, general services supervisor of Wicomico County Department of Public Works, says, “Funds from the Delmarva Power rebate program will be used to further improve energy efficiency in other county buildings in the future. This program is a win-win for county taxpayers. Our facilities are receiving much needed upgrades resulting in long-term energy savings.”

Thanks to these upgrades, Wicomico County received over $39,000 in incentives and will now save approximately 112,200 kWh annually.

Think you could have the next Project of the Quarter? Submit your project nominations to Aby Warran at Aby.Warran@icf.com for consideration to be featured in the next newsletter.
