Program Updates & Reminders

New Cycle Announcements

  • The Public Service Commission has given its approval for the EmPOWER Maryland 2024–2026 program incentives. As of January 15, 2024, new applications for the Energy Savings for Business program are being accepted.
  • Both Delmarva Power and Pepco now offer new incentives for retrofit lighting. Please ensure that you use the latest versions of the worksheets, dated 01152024 in the file name, on the Delmarva Power and Pepco websites.
  • Due to federal baseline changes, certain prescriptive HVAC equipment will be subject to new minimum requirements, such as A/C only equipment, air source heat pumps, and water-cooled air conditioners. Furthermore, HVAC incentives have increased $300–$350 per ton as of March 4, 2024. Please refer to the updated Delmarva Power and Pepco HVAC technical sheets for details.

New Portal Navigation

  • The program application portals have been updated with a fresh new look. Use the “Apply Now” buttons on the Delmarva Power and Pepco websites to navigate to the updated portal.
  • To ensure you use the updated versions, please make sure the URLs contain “customerapplication.com.” We recommend that you save these new URLs for future reference and delete any old URLs from your bookmarks.

Building Tune-up

  • The Delmarva Power and Pepco Building Tune-up (BT) program now offers higher incentives for Small BT, Full BT, and Monitoring-Based Commissioning. Refer to the updated Delmarva Power and Pepco BT Tech Sheets for the new incentive levels or see the recent program update email for more information.

Instant Discounts

  • As a reminder, the Business Instant Discounts program no longer offers incentives for general service screw-in lamps. However, participating Delmarva Power and Pepco lighting distributors offer instant discounts on TLED and HLED lamps, LED recessed trim kits, and a wide variety of LED fixtures.
  • We are delighted to welcome our expanded HVAC distributor network for the commercial midstream HVAC program, covering both the Delmarva Power and Pepco service territories. New distributors include:

Project of the Quarter

Congratulations to ABI Advantage and Green Way Lighting for receiving the Project of the Quarter for their recent work with Covenant Life Church.

This project, carried out through Pepco’s Energy Efficient Communities program, began with an energy audit from ABI Advantage. This audit assisted the customer in pinpointing the initial steps of their energy efficiency journey. As a result, the customer focused on achieving substantial energy savings by undergoing a large-scale LED retrofit, which involved installing lighting controls throughout the facility, managed by Green Way Lighting.

Additionally, Covenant Life Church made a commitment to ongoing monitoring of its mechanical systems to detect issues and explore energy-saving opportunities with the help of Pepco’s Monitoring-Based Commissioning program.

Thanks to these upgrades, Covenant Life Church has already received over $200,000 in incentives and will now save approximately 400,000 kWh annually.

Think you could have the next Project of the Quarter? Submit your project nominations to Aby Warran at Aby.Warran@icf.com for consideration to be featured in the next newsletter.
