New to the Building Tune-up Program |
Small Building Tune-up Program provides a streamlined site assessment to identify no-cost/low-cost operational and maintenance measures that will improve energy use at a facility. Small Building Tune-up is designed for facilities less than 75,000 square feet, and provides incentives toward the cost of the walk-through assessment, implementation of identified measures, and even monitoring and verification of select measures. |
Year in Review |
Thank you to all the Service Providers who helped us make our customers more energy efficient in 2020. Together, we saved 93,824 MWh in the Pepco service territory, exceeding our goal by 116%—equivalent to taking 14,332 cars off the road for a year. In the Delmarva Power service territory, we saved 30,042 MWh, exceeding our goal by 106%—equivalent to taking 4,589 cars off the road for a year. |
For the EmPOWER Maryland 2020 program cycle, Pepco has achieved over 116% of the annual goal and 107% of the 2018–2020 cycle goal while Delmarva Power has achieved over 106% of the annual goal and 111% of the 2018–2020 cycle goal. |
Updates to Custom Baseline |
If you have the opportunity for a custom incentive, you should contact either your local program account manager or the Service Provider team, Carolyn.Grant@icf.com, to schedule a scoping call to establish the correct baseline and determine what, if any, trend data collection is required. |

Project of the Quarter |
Congratulations
to Spectrum for having the project of the quarter for their work with Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. This was a collaborative project taking advantage of both Washington Gas incentives for new boilers and steam trap replacements, and a variety of Pepco Energy Savings for Business Program incentives. Spectrum leveraged the Custom and New Construction Lighting Programs to upgrade lighting, controls, and chillers in the brand-new 300,000-square-foot “North Building” wing at Suburban Hospital, a five-story structure encompassing 108 rooms, including 14 operating rooms. Currently the project has saved the hospital a total of 3,092.6 MWh. |
